2 cups mashed strawberries or raspberries

4 cups sugar

1/2 bottle liquid fruit pectin

Combine berries and sugar. Let stand 20 minutes. Add pectin. Stir 3 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Ladle into sterilized glasses. (Leave 1/2 inch space on top.) Cover with tight lids.

Let stand at room temperature until set,

about 24 hours. Store in deep-freeze

Yield: 8 6oz. glasses.

For white wine, substitute white grape juice or apple juice.

For red wine, substitute red wine vinegar

to which you have added granulated sugar.
